Is the former French evening news anchor officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Christine Ockrent, 81, and her partner had split up. Is the former French evening news anchor really single again?

Ockrent spotted alone

A fan spotted Christine Ockrent walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 12, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Christine back on the market?

A rep for Christine Ockrent was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the journalist was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (January 13), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
