It has been exactly 7 long years since Chuck Berry died in Wentzville on March 18, 2017 at the age of 90. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed guitarists of his generation.
Today, fans of Chuck Berry (Johnny B. Goode, Rock and Roll Music, Roll Over Beethoven, ...) along with the rest of the music world have been remembering the iconic man he was.
Berry, a cultural icon
Born Charles Edward Anderson Berry in Saint Louis on October 18, 1926, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Berry was not just a great guitarist, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
In 1956 he touched the hearts of millions with ‘Roll Over Beethoven’. His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique musical heritage.
It's been 7 years since the tragic loss of Chuck Berry and his personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Chuck Berry is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
