It has been exactly 4 long years since Claude Brasseur died in Paris on December 22, 2020 at the age of 84. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation.

Brasseur, a cultural icon
Born in Neuilly-sur-Seine on June 15, 1936, Claude Brasseur's career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. Brasseur was not just a great actor, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
In 1992 he touched the hearts of millions as Joseph Fouché in ‘The Supper’. His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.
It's been 4 years since the tragic loss of Claude Brasseur and his personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Claude Brasseur is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
