Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Corinne Bailey Rae, 46, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for hit songs like Put Your Records On or Like a Star really single again?

Bailey Rae spotted alone

A fan spotted Corinne Bailey Rae walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of May 27, 2025. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Corinne back on the market?

A rep for Corinne Bailey Rae was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (May 28), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
