Is the 36-year-old model officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Dakota Johnson, 36, and her partner had split up. Is the model best known for her roles in Fifty Shades Darker, How to Be Single, Fifty Shades of Grey or Ben and Kate really single again?

Johnson spotted alone

A fan spotted Dakota Johnson walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 15, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Dakota back on the market?

A rep for Dakota Johnson was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the model was splitting hit the internet Friday (January 16), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
