Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Dominique Lavanant, 81, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Sœur Thérèse.com, Palace or French Fried Vacation really single again?

Lavanant spotted alone

A fan spotted Dominique Lavanant walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 18, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Dominique back on the market?

A rep for Dominique Lavanant was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Monday (January 19), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
