Fluide Glacial notable contributor Édika died on December 16, 2025 at the age of 84. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed cartoonists of his generation.
Fans of Édika along with the rest of the world have been remembering the iconic man he was.
Édika, a cultural icon
Born Édouard Karali in Heliopolis on December 17, 1940, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. Édika was not just a great cartoonist, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
His legacy will continue to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.
Although Édika is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
