Is the former French Prime Minister officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Édith Cresson, 92, and her partner had split up. Is the former French Prime Minister really single again?

Cresson spotted alone

A fan spotted Édith Cresson walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 15, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Édith back on the market?

A rep for Édith Cresson was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the politician was splitting hit the internet Monday (March 16), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
