It has been exactly 11 long years since Édouard Molinaro died in Paris on December 7, 2013 at the age of 85. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed directors of his generation.

Today, fans of Édouard Molinaro (The Supper, Birds of a Feather, A Pain in the A..., ...) along with the rest of the film industry have been remembering the iconic man he was.

Molinaro, a cultural icon

Born in Bordeaux on May 13, 1928, Édouard Molinaro's career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. Molinaro was not just a great director, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.

It's been 11 years since the tragic loss of Édouard Molinaro and his personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Édouard Molinaro is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
