Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Ella Purnell, 29, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children or Maleficent really single again?

Purnell spotted alone

A fan spotted Ella Purnell walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of May 15, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Ella back on the market?

A rep for Ella Purnell was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Saturday (May 16), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
