Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Erykah Badu, 55, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for hit songs like Love of My Life, Bag Lady or On & On really single again?

Badu spotted alone

A fan spotted Erykah Badu walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of September 15, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Erykah back on the market?

A rep for Erykah Badu was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (September 16), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
