Break-Up Rumors, Is Esther Duflo Single Again?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Esther Duflo, 53, and her partner had split up. Is Nobel Prize in Economics 2019 really single again?

Duflo spotted alone

A fan spotted Esther Duflo walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of April 28, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Esther back on the market?

A rep for Esther Duflo was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the economist was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (April 29), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
