Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Eva Joly, 82, and her partner had split up. Is the French green party EELV candidate for the 2012 presidential election really single again?

Joly spotted alone

A fan spotted Eva Joly walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 13, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Eva back on the market?

A rep for Eva Joly was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the politician was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (January 14), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
