Is the 78-year-old actress officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Firmine Richard, 78, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Famille d'accueil or 8 Women really single again?

Richard spotted alone

A fan spotted Firmine Richard walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of May 16, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Firmine back on the market?

A rep for Firmine Richard was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Sunday (May 17), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
