It has been exactly 6 long years since France Gall died in Neuilly-sur-Seine on January 7, 2018 at the age of 70. As a number of online tributes attest, she was one of the most acclaimed singers of her generation.

Gall, a cultural icon
Born Isabelle Geneviève Marie Anne Gall in Paris on October 9, 1947, her career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. Gall was not just a great singer, she was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
In 1965 she touched the hearts of millions with ‘Poupée de cire poupée de son’. Her legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering her unique musical heritage.
It's been 6 years since the tragic loss of France Gall and her personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although France Gall is no longer physically here, her presence is more powerful than ever. She left a void that has yet to be filled.
