The iconic and legendary journalist turns 91 on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024.

François de Closets is celebrating his 91st birthday today. As a number of online tributes attest, he is one of the most acclaimed journalists of his generation.

Popular journalist François de Closets has always liked to keep a bit of himself hidden from view. At 91st birthday, he remains a man of many facets.

Born in Enghien-les-Bains on December 25, 1933, François de Closets' career spans an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. de Closets' not just a great journalist, he's an inspiration, an icon and a successful business man. At this point in his career, there seems to be little François hasn't done.

And we've got a feeling the next 12 months are going to be even bigger and better for François de Closets as he promises more to come. After all, he's only 91.
