Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Gayle King, 70, and her partner had split up. Is the host of ‘CBS This Morning’ really single again?

King spotted alone

A fan spotted Gayle King walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of December 3, 2025. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Gayle back on the market?

A rep for Gayle King was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the television host was splitting hit the internet Thursday (December 4), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
