It has been exactly 51 long years since Former French President Georges Pompidou died in Paris on April 2, 1974 at the age of 62. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed politicians of his generation.

Today, fans of Georges Pompidou along with the rest of the world have been remembering the iconic man he was.
