Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Glenn Close, 79, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Albert Nobbs, Dangerous Liaisons or Fatal Attraction really single again?

Close spotted alone

A fan spotted Glenn Close walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of June 26, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Glenn back on the market?

A rep for Glenn Close was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Saturday (June 27), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
