It has been exactly 7 long years since Gonzalo Vega died in Mexico City on October 10, 2016 at the age of 69. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation.

Vega, a cultural icon
Born Gonzalo Agustín Vega y González in Mexico City on November 29, 1946, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in Mexican history. Vega was not just a great actor, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
In 2008 he touched the hearts of millions as Orlando García / Carlos in ‘Tengo todo’. His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.
