Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Helen Mirren, 80, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Prime Suspect or The Queen really single again?

Mirren spotted alone

A fan spotted Helen Mirren walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of May 28, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Helen back on the market?

A rep for Helen Mirren was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Friday (May 29), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
