‘Stardust’ author Hubert Reeves died in Paris on October 13, 2023 at the age of 91. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed scientists of his generation.

Born in Montreal on July 13, 1932, Hubert Reeves' career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in Canadian history. Reeves was not just a great scientist, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

Although Hubert Reeves is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
