It has been exactly 10 long years since Jacques Vergès died in Paris on August 15, 2013 at the age of 88. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed lawyers of his generation.

Today, fans of Jacques Vergès along with the rest of the world have been remembering the iconic man he was.

Born in Ubon Ratchathani on March 5, 1925, Jacques Vergès' career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. Vergès was not just a great lawyer, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.
