It has been exactly one year since Jane Birkin died in Paris on July 16, 2023 at the age of 76. As a number of online tributes attest, she was one of the most acclaimed singers of her generation.

Birkin, a cultural icon
Born in London on December 14, 1946, Jane Birkin's career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in British history. Birkin was not just a great singer, she was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
In 1969 she touched the hearts of millions with ‘Je t'aime… moi non plus’. Her legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering her unique musical heritage.
It's been one year since the tragic loss of Jane Birkin and her personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Jane Birkin is no longer physically here, her presence is more powerful than ever. She left a void that has yet to be filled.
