Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Jane Fonda, 88, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Coming Home or Klute really single again?

Fonda spotted alone

A fan spotted Jane Fonda walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 29, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Jane back on the market?

A rep for Jane Fonda was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress - known for having been romantically involved with Warren Beatty or Ted Turner - was splitting hit the internet Friday (January 30), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
