Is the former Homeland Security Secretary officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Janet Napolitano, 68, and her partner had split up. Is the former Homeland Security Secretary really single again?

Napolitano spotted alone

A fan spotted Janet Napolitano walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 7, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Janet back on the market?

A rep for Janet Napolitano was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the politician was splitting hit the internet Thursday (January 8), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
