Is the 46-year-old singer officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Jessica Simpson, 46, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for her hit song I Wanna Love You Forever really single again?

Simpson spotted alone

A fan spotted Jessica Simpson walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of October 5, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Jessica back on the market?

A rep for Jessica Simpson was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer - known for having been romantically involved with Nick Lachey, Jensen Ackles, Adam Levine, Marcus Schenkenberg, Billy Corgan or John Mayer - was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (October 6), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
