Is the 45-year-old singer officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Jessica Simpson, 45, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for her hit song I Wanna Love You Forever really single again?

Simpson spotted alone

A fan spotted Jessica Simpson walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 16, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Jessica back on the market?

A rep for Jessica Simpson was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer - known for having been romantically involved with Marcus Schenkenberg, Nick Lachey, Adam Levine, John Mayer, Billy Corgan or Jensen Ackles - was splitting hit the internet Saturday (January 17), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
