Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Jewel, 51, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for hit songs like Hands, You Were Meant for Me or Who Will Save Your Soul really single again?

Jewel spotted alone
A fan spotted Jewel walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 16, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”
Is Jewel back on the market?
A rep for Jewel was not immediately available for comment.
Truth or rumor, when news that the singer - known for having been romantically involved with Sean Penn - was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (March 17), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
