Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Jill Abramson, 71, and her partner had split up. Is the New York Times executive editor really single again?

Abramson spotted alone

A fan spotted Jill Abramson walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 13, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Jill back on the market?

A rep for Jill Abramson was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the journalist was splitting hit the internet Saturday (March 14), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
