Popular director Joel Coen (No Country for Old Men, The Big Lebowski, ...) has always liked to keep a bit of himself hidden from view. At 69th birthday, he remains a man of many facets.

Born Joel David Coen in St. Louis Park on November 29, 1954, his career spans an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history.
