Remembering John Entwistle, 21 Years Later

It has been exactly 21 long years since Who ex-bassist John Entwistle died in Paradise on June 27, 2002 at the age of 57. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed musicians of his generation.

Today, fans of John Entwistle along with the rest of the music world have been remembering the iconic man he was.

Entwistle, a cultural icon

Born John Alec Entwistle in London on October 9, 1944, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in British history. Entwistle was not just a great musician, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
