It has been exactly 7 long years since Michael Jackson's father Joseph Jackson died in Las Vegas on June 27, 2018 at the age of 89. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed musicians of his generation.

Today, fans of Joseph Jackson along with the rest of the music world have been remembering the iconic man he was.

Born Joseph Walter Jackson in Fountain Hill on July 26, 1928, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Jackson was not just a great musician, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
