Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Joy Reid, 56, and her partner had split up. Is the American journalist really single again?

Reid spotted alone

A fan spotted Joy Reid walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of April 11, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Joy back on the market?

A rep for Joy Reid was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the journalist was splitting hit the internet Sunday (April 12), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
