Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Julia Gillard, 64, and her partner had split up. Is the former Australian Prime Minister really single again?

Gillard spotted alone
A fan spotted Julia Gillard walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 8, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”
Is Julia back on the market?
A rep for Julia Gillard was not immediately available for comment.
Truth or rumor, when news that the politician was splitting hit the internet Friday (January 9), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
