Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Karen Elson, 47, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for her album The Ghost Who Walks really single again?

Elson spotted alone

A fan spotted Karen Elson walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 14, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Karen back on the market?

A rep for Karen Elson was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Thursday (January 15), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
