Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Karin Slaughter, 55, and her partner had split up. Is the American author really single again?

Slaughter spotted alone

A fan spotted Karin Slaughter walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of September 22, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Karin back on the market?

A rep for Karin Slaughter was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the author was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (September 23), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
