Is the 41-year-old singer officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Katharine McPhee, 41, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for her roles in Smash or The House Bunny really single again?

McPhee spotted alone

A fan spotted Katharine McPhee walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 11, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Katharine back on the market?

A rep for Katharine McPhee was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Monday (January 12), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
