Is Michael Jackson's mother officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Katherine Jackson, 95, and her partner had split up. Is the Michael Jackson's mother really single again?

Jackson spotted alone

A fan spotted Katherine Jackson walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 11, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Katherine back on the market?

A rep for Katherine Jackson was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the musician was splitting hit the internet Monday (January 12), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
