Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Katy Perry, 41, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for her hit song I Kissed a Girl really single again?

Perry spotted alone

A fan spotted Katy Perry walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 16, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Katy back on the market?

A rep for Katy Perry was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer - known for having been romantically involved with John Mayer, Robert Pattinson, Russell Brand or Travie McCoy - was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (March 17), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
