Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Kaylee DeFer, 39, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her role on the television series Gossip Girl really single again?

DeFer spotted alone

A fan spotted Kaylee DeFer walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 14, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Kaylee back on the market?

A rep for Kaylee DeFer was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Thursday (January 15), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
