Is the 57-year-old singer officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Lalah Hathaway, 57, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for her hit song Forever, For Always, For Love really single again?

Hathaway spotted alone

A fan spotted Lalah Hathaway walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of February 2, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Lalah back on the market?

A rep for Lalah Hathaway was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (February 3), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
