Remembering Lalo Schifrin on the first Anniversary of his death

It has been exactly one year since Lalo Schifrin died in Buenos Aires on June 26, 2025 at the age of 93. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed musicians of his generation.

Today, fans of Lalo Schifrin (Mission: Impossible, ...) along with the rest of the music world have been remembering the iconic man he was.

Schifrin, a cultural icon

Born Boris Claudio Schifrin in Buenos Aires on June 21, 1932, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in Argentine history. Schifrin was not just a great musician, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique musical heritage.

It's been one year since the tragic loss of Lalo Schifrin and his personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Lalo Schifrin is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
