Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Laura Dern, 58, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in The Fault in Our Stars, I Am Sam or Jurassic Park really single again?

Dern spotted alone

A fan spotted Laura Dern walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 10, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Laura back on the market?

A rep for Laura Dern was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress - known for having been romantically involved with Jeff Goldblum - was splitting hit the internet Sunday (January 11), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
