Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Laura Marling, 36, and her partner had split up. Is the musician best known for hit songs like Sophia, Devil's Spoke or Ghosts really single again?

Marling spotted alone

A fan spotted Laura Marling walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 17, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Laura back on the market?

A rep for Laura Marling was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the musician was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (March 18), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
