It has been exactly 8 long years since Leonard Cohen died in Los Angeles on November 7, 2016 at the age of 82. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed singers of his generation.

Born Leonard Norman Cohen in Montreal on September 21, 1934, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in Canadian history. Cohen was not just a great singer, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
In 1967 he touched the hearts of millions with ‘Suzanne’. His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique musical heritage.
