Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Lin Chi-ling, 51, and her partner had split up. Is the model best known for her role in Red Cliff really single again?

Chi-ling spotted alone

A fan spotted Lin Chi-ling walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 9, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Lin back on the market?

A rep for Lin Chi-ling was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the model was splitting hit the internet Saturday (January 10), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
