Is the 79-year-old singer officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Linda Ronstadt, 79, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for hit songs like Don't Know Much, Blue Bayou or You're No Good really single again?

Ronstadt spotted alone

A fan spotted Linda Ronstadt walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 16, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Linda back on the market?

A rep for Linda Ronstadt was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (March 17), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
