Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that LL Cool J, 58, and his partner had split up. Is the rapper best known for hit songs like Mama Said Knock You Out or I Need Love really single again?

LL Cool J spotted alone

A fan spotted LL Cool J walking alone, probably coming back from picking up his mail at the end of his several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of August 25, 2026. Was he all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “He was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is James back on the market?

A rep for LL Cool J was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the rapper was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (August 26), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
