Is the 76-year-old actress officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Loretta Devine, 76, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Boston Public or Grey's Anatomy really single again?

Devine spotted alone

A fan spotted Loretta Devine walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 4, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Loretta back on the market?

A rep for Loretta Devine was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Monday (January 5), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
