Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Lynda Lemay, 59, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for hit songs like Pas de mot or Une mère really single again?

Lemay spotted alone

A fan spotted Lynda Lemay walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 12, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Lynda back on the market?

A rep for Lynda Lemay was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer - known for having been romantically involved with Laurent Gerra - was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (January 13), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
